Maplewood and the rest of Essex County may get a snow accumulation late Monday night, the NWS says. See when how much you'll get. Reply MAPLEWOOD, NJ — In a surprise after a nearly snowless winter in New Jersey, snow has crept into the forecast for the Essex County area, according to the National Service. In the area, snow will likely begin late Monday some time after 1 p.m., with a wind chill between 20 and 30 degrees, the NWS says. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, but there won't be much accumulation yet during the afternoon.
